Consuela “Swae” Harris, a seasoned Nurse Practitioner at Heading Health, brings a wealth of experience to her practice. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Tennessee at Martin in Martin, Tennessee. While initially working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, she pursued further education at Mississippi University for Women, completing a Dual Track Master of Science in Nursing (Pediatric/Family) degree. Later, she pursued Post Master’s studies in Psychiatry across the spectrum as a subspecialty at Wilmington University.

Consuela has diverse experience across various fields, including Dermatology, Pediatrics/Adolescents (where she served as the lead provider of 1st episode psychosis), Correctional Health, Substance Use Disorders, HIV services, and her current focus in Psychiatry. She continued her education while working full-time at a Diseases and Minor Surgery of the Skin practice, completing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Texas Woman’s University in 2010.

Swae is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing; and Certified Correctional Health Professional-Mental Health (CCHP-MH). Swae and husband Tracy are from Alabama, reside in Dallas. She enjoys weekend Girl’s Night Out (GNO) and the Fall for ALABAMA “ROLLTIDE” FOOTBALL, as well traveling the world for fun.

At Heading Health, Consuela is deeply involved in the entire continuum of Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD) care, with a focus on Long-term goals (LTG)-remission and/or individualized patient care outcomes. She specializes in Ketamine Assisted Psycho-therapeutic Management and Cognitive-Behavioral Stress/Trauma Management, addressing acute and chronic stressors that interfere with daily functioning. You can find her serving patients at the Trophy Club, Texas office.
