I want therapy to feel easy and supportive even when it's hard. My approach to therapy is conversational with a unique means of 'sneaking in' therapy without emphasis, allowing the patient space to have a-ha moments.

Patricia describes her approach to therapy as conversational with a unique means of 'sneaking in' therapy without emphasis, allowing the patient space to have a-ha moments and then circling back to progress made and therapeutic skills they can continue to use to enhance progress. She has years of experience with serious mental illness population, to include psychosis, schizoprhenia, co-occurring disorders, and has found that a focus on a strengths-based and solution focused approach, rooted in CBT and DBT very beneficial. Patricia is a certified clinical trauma professional and keeps an awareness of trauma within her interactions, and takes a a trauma sensitive approach.
Patricia cheekily associates being "a cool mom" to being a "cool therapist." An easy-going, non-judgemental approach builds trust and rapport. When she is not working Patricia enjoys traveling, crafting and has a new found appreciation for grounding in nature, and respect for alternatives to healing to include breathwork, manifesting, and chakra healing.
